Amy Burns
Graphic Designer. Amy is a true creator and defender of brands. A native of Chicago, her 18 years of experience spans consumer, luxury and humanitarian products and services, including Art Institute Chicago, Coke, Comcast, Croom Construction Company, Proctor & Gamble, Miller's Fine Decorative Hardware, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise and John's Island Club. Amy has worked with The Alexis Agency since its inception and continues to be a pivotal design partner.

Rachel Baron
Creative Consultant. Rachel has worked for the big guys: Y&R, Euro RSCG and JWT. Since 2001, she's used her "big agency" experience to help individual clients with brand development, copywriting, print and broadcast production. She also teaches communications at Chicago's Roosevelt University. We're proud to say Rachel has partnered with The Alexis Agency since its inception.

Kirsten Hogan
Graphic and Web Designer. Kirsten knew early in life that art would be her life. She graduated high school from North Carolina School of the Arts and went on to study visual arts at Parsons School of Design and Columbia College. Today, she uses both sides of her brain to design and develop websites. Kirsten continues to paint whenever she can find the time.

Russ Shoemaker
Graphic Designer. Russ brings more than 30 years of design experience to our team. A no-nonsense designer, Russ's calm demeanor proves invaluable when the heat is on. His portfolio spans international design projects, including working within and for Japanese and Saudi Arabian companies. These days, we're lucky his feet are firmly planted in our own backyard, and have been since The Alexis Agency's beginnings.

Kathy Oristaglio
Writer. Kathy has worn many hats throughout her career – advertising manager, marketing manager and economic development expert – but she always comes back to her first love, writing. These days that includes copywriting, marketing writing and business feature writing for a group of newspapers.

Todd Prouty
SEO Specialist / New Media Programmer. Todd is the consummate web guy. Just search him; he's everywhere. Todd has deep experience building SEO-friendly websites via CSS, X/HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and ActionScript. And whatever is the next great web tool that comes along. Todd just loves what he does.

Yulia Gode
Graphic and Web Designer. Yulia, like most of our design specialists, loves combining design and all the technical back-end tools that make websites and advertising designs so savvy. She happens to do both very well, which is unique in itself.

Steve Vanden Heuvel
New Media Designer. Steve moved into web design after years as an art director/graphic designer for some of Chicago's largest media companies. He loves marrying the art of design with the science of the web, and his partnership with The Alexis Agency is win-win creative arrangement.

Emily Gough
Social Media and SEO Specialist. Emily believes that content is king, and she's a master of all the tools that help us master the content we're searching for on the Internet. And that's an invaluable service for our clients. Although her work is always behind the scenes, the results are clearly visible.

The Alexis Agency evolved from Ginger's ongoing passion for marketing, advertising and public relations. Over the past 20 years she has developed a network of highly skilled strategists, creative talent and brand managers. She holds a deep belief that long-term client relationships and loyalty are critical for success. This commitment, coupled with the flexibility to develop unique approaches to each client’s needs, allows her team to continually think critically and creatively. Her career experience includes working both sides of the marketing equation – from the client side to the agency perspective. This experience shaped her mission to launch a firm that could more efficiently achieve results for our clients.


Ginger’s industry experience spans aviation, financial services, healthcare, high-end retail, hospitality, private education, renewable energy, and real estate. She is active in numerous non-profit organizations, including previously serving on the Board of Directors for Special Equestrians of the Treasure Coast and currently serving on the United Way of Indian River County’s marketing committee. Other organizations include Children's Home Society of Florida and the Education Foundation. Her belief in giving back to the community includes committing our firm to providing marketing assistance for two non-profits annually. Ginger graduated from Salem College in N.C. with a B.A. in Communications and Journalism.

Ryan Gragg
Communications Director

Specializing in corporate affairs, new media, strategic planning, and message development, Ryan brings savvy experience to The Alexis Agency team. A native of North Carolina, Ryan holds a B.S. in Political Science with a focus in International Relations and Comparative Politics from Appalachian State University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Wake Forest University.


During his time in Washington D.C. Ryan worked in Crystal City at national headquarters for Senator John McCain's Presidential Campaign. Not ready to leave the Nation's Capital after the election, he gained additional experience in the D.C-based think tank, Hudson Institute, and subsequently on Capitol Hill. It was in Washington that Ryan quickly realized the impact that public relations, public affairs, and new media, coupled with the right strategy, can generate.

As Communications Director, he has added impressive value to our clients’ success by negotiating multiple corporate affairs deals at the state and national levels as well as leading successful corporate public relations programs. His industry experience includes aviation, financial services, healthcare, politics, and renewable energy. Ryan is also a founding partner, along with Dan Gurley, of G2 Strategy Group.

Dan Gurley
Public Affairs & Political Director

An Air Force veteran and North Carolina native, Dan graduated cum laude from Appalachian State University, where he double majored in Public Relations and Political Science. He began his professional political and public affairs career with the North Carolina Republican Party, serving as state field director, political director, and executive director. He then served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Cass Ballenger (NC-10) and in 2004 as Deputy Political Director/National Field Director at the Republican National Committee. Dan has also counseled political parties and candidates worldwide, serving as a strategic advisor in Azerbaijan, Canada, Haiti, Morocco and Nigeria while also traveling professionally in China, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, and Taiwan.


In 2007 he became regional director for GoRail, a public policy non-profit that advocates increased use of rail transportation. From Raleigh he directed GoRail operations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, and led GoRail’s national outreach to the business community. In early 2010 he joined Railinc as Director of Industry Relations, working with C-level railroad management across Canada, Mexico, and the US while creating their first comprehensive companywide training program.

Dan is now a founding partner, along with Ryan Gragg, of G2 Strategy Group. Based in Raleigh NC and affiliated with The Alexis Agency, G2 is a comprehensive government relations firm practicing in the US and abroad with agriculture, healthcare, renewable energy, and transportation practice groups. Ryan and Dan also direct Super PAC activities in Florida and North Carolina.
